GULAB ATTAR — THE SIGNATURE ROSE OF MANDAKANI PERFUMERS

Some fragrances are made. This one is grown, harvested, and slowly distilled — the same way, in the same copper vessels, by the same family in Kannauj, across four generations.

SCENT NOTES
Top — Fresh dewy rose, a breath of the flower at first light
Heart — Warm petal, soft honey, the rose settling into skin
Base — Creamy Indian sandalwood, quiet and grounding

HOW IT IS MADE
Fresh Rosa damascena petals are loaded into the copper deg with water. The still is sealed with clay. Steam rises slowly through a bamboo pipe into the bhapka — a receiving vessel resting in Indian sandalwood oil. The rose vapour condenses into the sandalwood over forty days. What remains is Gulab Attar: the rose held inside the wood.

No shortcuts. No synthetic fixatives. No alcohol.

COMPOSITION
100% natural rose attar (Rosa damascena distillate) in Indian sandalwood oil (Santalum album) base. No alcohol, no synthetic fragrance, no parabens, no preservatives, no animal-derived ingredients. Vegan and skin-safe.

HOW TO WEAR
Apply two drops on inner wrists, behind ears, or at the hollow of the throat. Use the dabber — do not rub. Let the oil meet the skin warmly before dressing. The scent deepens through the day rather than fading. Lasts 8 to 12 hours on skin.

STORAGE
Keep upright in a cool, dark place away from sunlight and heat. This attar matures with age — three years on, the scent is richer, not weaker.
